Wilkommen in München

Hi Everyone!
I'm finally in Munich and am having a good time. After 3 days of orientation we now have a 4 day break for easter. So far I've seen a lot of the city including Odeonsplatz, Marienplatz, and the Viktualienmarkt. We took a long walk through the english garden where we saw lots of dogs, horses, and roller bladers. The first night we went to a very traditional restaurant where the only vegetarian thing on the menu was called the vegetarische, so I of course ordered that. I'm trying to drink the beer here since I figure if I'm not eating the sausage I should at least drink the beer. We've already discovered the good wine and the cheap (yet so good) food. We've been cooking a lot: lasagna and spargel (white asparagus) were two of the highlights.
Today we went to an easter mass in the theatinerkirche (not to be confused with the theaterkirche, which actually does not exist, OOPS). It was really cool to see the church on the inside and listen to the mass.
My room is really nice, much more spacious than a dorm room. I have two huge windows which cover one entire wall, lots of closet space (which I don't really need), and a functioning tiny kitchen. The bathroom, well, will take some getting used to, to say the least.
So far I've only learned a couple bayerisch words. Servus (hi, or bye) is used all the time, as is Gruss Gott (another greeting). But don't worry, I promise by the time I return to the U.S. I'll be rocking my Dirndl on a daily basis.
And now for some pictures:
